Hard Money
« Back to Glossary Index
In economics, “hard money” refers to a currency that is either physical, like gold or silver, or digital, like Bitcoin, and is characterized by a limited and fixed supply, making it resistant to inflation and better at retaining value over time. This contrasts with “soft money,” which is more easily inflated and manipulated by governments or central banks.
Example Sentence: Bitcoin is the hardest money ever created.
