More commonly referred to as a “sat”. The smallest unit of Bitcoin, equal to 0.00000001 BTC. There are 100,000,000 (100 million) sats in one Bitcoin.
Example Sentence: A cup of coffee might cost 20,000 sats instead of a full Bitcoin.
