Fixed Supply

« Back to Glossary Index

A “fixed supply” in economics refers to a situation where the quantity of a good or service available for sale remains constant regardless of price. This means that no matter how high the price increases, the same amount of the good or service will be produced and offered for sale.

Example Sentence: Bitcoin’s fixed supply of 21 million coins makes it immune to inflationary policies that devalue fiat currencies over time.
